Fees |

Fees We see money as a strategy to meet our needs, such as acknowledgment, security, comfort and health. Indeed, much of our work in conflict transformation is to help people realise the importance and beauty of their needs, as opposed to the strategies we use to meet them. Another comment we often make about strategies and needs is that ‘it’s the strategies people use to meet their needs that can be in conflict with the strategies of others, needs themselves are never in conflict’. So what of fees? In any interaction we seek to meet our own needs and the needs of others, and the indication of needs being met is the feeling of joy that it brings. Therefore, we want any payment of fees to be an interaction that brings joy to both parties. As a result of the transaction our needs for acknowledgment, security, comfort and health might be met. Simultaneously, our client’s needs for fairness and to contribute to our needs are genuinely met. The amount we request depends on the work, the number of people from MLCT involved and the client’s circumstances. The amount that will meet the client’s needs will also depend on their circumstances. We look forward to exploring this further with you. Doing this work in conflict transformation meets our needs for hope and peace. We would not like money to be the reason for turning away anybody interested in this work and we are very open to discussing this further.
